Here is a simple way to remember the five levels of authority.
- Put your right hand over your heart.
This represents home. “Home is where the heart is.” - Move your right hand up and point to your head.
This represents school. “Learning” - Make your right hand into a fist and bring it down into your left hand.
This represents work. - Move the left hand over the top of your head like an umbrella.
This represents government. “Watching over us.” - Lift both hands and use them to point up.
This represents God.
Think of a time when you had a “person of authority” become a “person of opportunity?” This is an authority whom you did not appreciate (at first), but who later proved to be a source of help and a great benefit to your life.
